ME501
The me501 is a dangerous and elegant electric; a bright, sleek, single cutaway that was born of a fusion of jazz, rockabilly, and old school punk sensibilities. With a custom shape, the solid basswood body provides a rich, warm sound. Two Alnico vintage-style humbuckers dole out crisp vintage sound and warm rock distortion. The cream binding and pickguard pop against the crimson burst finish. Alternative rock rebel Paul Westerberg (of The Replacements) saw an me501 and bought it on the spot. He liked the guitar so much, he played it onstage for the rest of his tour, singing its praises to a packed house each night.
