Steve Brooks, guitarist for Miami-based sludge-rockers Torche, plays a custom double cutaway Lola. The guitar’s solid mahogany body and neck provide thick, full tone even when Brooks tunes down to low A. The First Act humbuckers and hardtail bridge and string retainer help maintain clarity and sustain. Finished in a sparkling turquoise blue, with antiqued white binding and block inlays, the guitar looks great too. And just in case he ever misplaces it, he’s got his name inlaid into the back of the headstock.
