Tim Fagan

Tim Fagan became a name to be reckoned with when he beat out over 2,000 other songwriters to win the 2006 Esquire Songwriting Contest. The challenge was to compose original music to a set of lyrics written by John Mayer, and Fagan’s music won out, yielding the original tune “Deeper.”

With Fagan’s effortless, crisp guitar and gravelly croon, the comparison to Mayer comes easily. Yet his musical influences extend all over the place - he cites Van Morrison, Chris Whitley, Jeff Buckley, and Stevie Ray Vaughan as just a few. These days Fagan spends life on the road, playing guitar and singing in Colbie Caillat's touring band.

Tim says of his new First Act guitar, "My Delia is warm, sweet, and easy on the eyes. I've stepped into a whole new world of tone."
