Norma Jean have been on the forefront of the underground
hardcore scene almost since their inception in 2001. They’ve certainly earned
their credentials, with an extensive touring schedule, strong relationships in
the underground community, and one of the loudest, heaviest sounds in music
today. Despite a number of lineup changes, they’ve been able to stay consistent
throughout the years, and even scored a Grammy nomination for best packaging
with their second album, O God, the
Aftermath.
Guitarist Scottie Henry has been with the band, and their
former incarnation Luti-Kriss, since 1998. He also played guitar with hardcore
band Spitfire from 2004 to 2007, but has since made Norma Jean his sole
commitment.
