The question isn’t who Rusty Anderson has played with, but who hasn’t he played with?
His credits include the Wallflowers, Perry Farrell, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Sinead O’Connor, Courtney Love, Jewel, Santana, Joe Cocker, and three tours with Paul McCartney – this man is sought after.
In the late ‘90s, he was a part of Ednaswap, the L.A. band responsible for writing Natalie Imbruglia’s hit “Torn”. The group broke up in 1999, but Anderson kept writing his own material, all the while offering his hands to countless studio projects.
In September of 2005, to the delight of his fans, Anderson released an album of his own, Undressing Underwater. Guest appearances by Paul McCartney and Stewart Copeland add to this disc’s richness.
Anderson is now a staple in McCartney’s touring and studio bands, and continues to produce and perform around Los Angeles.
