Hailing from Bremerton, Washington, Mike Herrera is the bassist and lead singer of punk band MxPx. In the 16 years since their formation in the early ‘90s, the band has achieved international success on the strength of eight albums and numerous tours across the globe. Their last album, 2007’s Secret Weapon, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Christian charts and marked their first album on Tooth & Nail Records in more than a decade. Mike has also formed a side project, Tumbledown, featuring himself singing and playing guitar with fellow Washingtonians The Rocky Point All Stars. In contrast to MxPx’s straightforward punk, Tumbledown plays more acoustic oriented country music. They have independently released their debut EP, Atlantic City, and plan to work on more material in between MxPx commitments.
