Duane Denison

Guitarist Duane Denison has been around the music industry for decades, contributing guitar work to broad mix of alternative rock and metal bands. He first hit it big with The Jesus Lizard, which he helped form in the late ‘80s. From there, he joined up with underground metal superstar Mike Patton (Ex-Faith No More, Ex- Mr. Bungle) to form the experimental metal group Tomahawk in 2000. That band’s latest album, 2007’s Anonymous, is a loosely conceptual album based on Native American legends and songs. Denison is also working with Ex-Ministry bassist Paul Barker in the band USSA, who released their debut album The Spoils in 2007 as well. He has also played with Cargo Cult, Hank Williams III, Firewater, The Denison-Kimball Trio, and has a degree in classical guitar from Eastern Michigan University. He is currently touring and recording with Legendary Shack Shakers, recording with USSA, and planning reunion shows with The Jesus Lizard this coming summer.
