Al Berry is currently serving as bassist in Avril Lavigne’s touring band. Berry studied at the Peabody Conservatory at John Hopkins University. He has worked as a sideman with Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Vaughan, Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Womack, and the Cars' Ric Ocasek. His solo efforts include a 1997 eponymous album and 2001’s Take The Pain Away.
